Please join us for this intense hands on experience, of learning to build your own earth oven from the ground up. The process of creating your oven is a form of art, mostly sculpture, which means that each oven is unique and perfect in its own way. Please note that this class is a two-day hands on experience, so please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Camping overnight is not required for the class but is highly recommended, as a way to wind down on Saturday there will be chanting, storytelling, dancing, and drumming around the fire.
The Cost of class is $75.00 and includes camping & fresh pizza from the oven on Sunday! So join us on May 12-13, 2018 and learn how to build your own Earth Oven!
This class will be taught by Inawah Khan, who has been interested in sustainable landscape and permaculture design ever since he was a young man. He is now the President of the Tampa chapter of Da’He’Tih’Hi’ Branch of the Oklaveha Native American Church, and teaches many modalities including Shamanic Reiki, Shamanic Journey, Pineal gland activation, plant medicine and many more. He learned Earth Oven techniques while traveling across the country and attending “Rainbow Family of Light” gatherings in the early 1990’s. He learned the aspects of Earth Ovens during this time and has since built many different ovens. He will teach you how to work with clay, straw, sand, and water.
