Lughnasadh, or Lammas, is the first of the three harvest festivals. At this turn of the wheel, we celebrate the grains and cereal crops. This is seen as a time to give thanks to the spirits and deities for the beginning of the harvest season, and to propitiate them with offerings and prayers not to harm the still-ripening crops.
Come join us as we break bread with our community and friends to mark the blessing of the First Fruits of harvest. As many celebrations include handfasting, fairs, and athletic contests, we would like to invite you to join us in partaking in Ritual, which will be facilitated by Erica Parker. We will be celebrating this time on Saturday as we know that many people work during the week and are unable to make events such as these. We ask that you bring a photo ID to check-in (unless you are a member). We offer this Ritual to you and your family at no charge.
Love donations are requested at $10 per person to play in the waterslide and spend the day celebrating our 8th Anniversary. These Donations helps us to continue providing a place to bring our community together and the ability to keep our grounds open. Please bring an item for the potluck. This is a primitive outdoor event, so please dress accordingly. We have porta potties on site and sinks with fresh running water.
As we reap of her blessings, so should we live.
As we take from her bounty, so should we give.
May this festival of Lammas bring you blessings of the Harvest, Health, and Hearth;
And bring you joy and all good things to fill your heart.
Blessed Harvest. We hope to see you there.
